I don't think they even know what it means tbh. But how I interept it is they mean things trying to be too politically correct but while I can see that can happen most things ppl say is woke is 'a guy wearing a rainbow patch on his jacket."
And I think this statement from them is coherent with the idea of a near future universe and the general antifascist/anticapitalist views of the story...
(And well, seriously, "kind of god" being non-binary offended you ? That's simply absurd.)
Politically correct originated from communists parroting the party line, mostly in non-communist states- it isn't about mainstream, but ifurthering the goals of the party.
Anti-fascist and anti-capitalist? Does the main character advocate for seizing the means of production and placing it in the hands of a vanguard party in order to safeguard the interests of the proletariat?
Or is this 'authority and companies are bad' which has been repeated ad nausuem countless times? Yes, there can be bad leaders and elites who need to be removed but attacking the ides of leadership and hierarchy is nonsensical when you play as character leading society.
It's ahistorical. You have genderless being (angels, referenced as male), cross dressing, sex changes and transexuals, but 'non-binary' doesn't appear. The closest I can think of are futa depictions of Satan (Baphomet).
This "non-binary" thing is brand new, and is needlessly confusing. I don't care how he acts or what he dresses like, using confusing grammar for him is nonsensical, and it makes the writing actively worse.
Wait what do you mean by french écriture inclusive, you mean they use the " iel " thing or then " ils / elles " in every sentence everytime, or only plural "vous / nous" like and talking in third person like they're Julius Caesar ?
But then I guess it's obligated if they wanted to translate the non binary without using " il " since we don't even have a neutral gender in our language...
In any case thanks for saying this, I'm never buying this even on a discount, I'm sick of this "inclusivity" which disregard dyslexia and others stuff to make everything so complicated. Non binary aha yeah you wish you could chose like you're some genderless robot or a slug.
If it's for a god or spirit character that's fine by me tho since it's not even human. But if it's used by humans characters then it's a nope. Except if they're some kind of Julius Caesar above the mob aha
But the written translation to German broke it for me. It's full of these neopronouns and I really have no idea how the hell you use or read those. Xier? Xierse? Xierer? Xiern? What? I can only imagine how it would be for a person with reading issues.
Very inclusive indeed, wanting to be so special that everybody has to tag along with your idea of who you are and you don't give a flying ♥♥♥♥ about disruptivity. The game wanted to promote the idea of non-binary identities and neopronouns but for me, it achived the opposite. Is the world now fairer, nicer, more inclusive?
Well, I have absolutely no idea what "Mx." means or how I'm supposed to read/pronounce it. So now I'm supposed to go do research to figure out how to even read your special, made up words? This isn't being inclusive, it's being obnoxious.
most are just normal persons, but just because of few crazy trans ones, some ppl thinks all transgender persones are crazy :D
just tollerate others and be happy :)
We can't establish what "normal" even means, because everyone has a different definition and no one is allowed to discuss it. We end up in a big downward spiral until everyone hates everyone.
