is there any game setting to reduce boss health ?
some bosses have really a ton of hitpoints, is there an easy mode (or gameplay option) that lowers bosses health ?

I'm afraid not. Is there any boss in particular you're having problems with? Or are most of them in general?

most of the bosses are fine.
pyros is the WORSE offender, since the battle is "timed", and if you do not kill him fast, you are ruined.

pyros and lich seems to favor players that can "button smash spam" attacks and quickly lower enemy health bar. (leaving slower players in the dust)

pyros can barely be done using a monster spell as extra damage (for example worms armageddon) to cut down the time, to win before the whole floor is on fire.

lich can barely be done using broom monster slow time spell, used after he reappears when his life is low and the pacing of the game is already sped up.
(this slow time compensate with the lack of a faster "sword attack button smashing")

i wonder if the bosses have the same health in single player and coop player, since in single player there is "less damage per second" and "timed" boss battles are harder to win

---

in any case pyros and lich remind me the end boss of mini ghost, which requires high reflexes when the boss is almost dead, but less dexterous players may use a "creature spell" like the screen wide laser attack, to compensate and deal the last hitpoints of damage.

Bosses have the same HP in single player and multiplayer so, in multiplayer they tend to fall quicker (as there are 2 players hitting + 2 souls).

For Pyros you need the "Ares Sword" that doubles the damage of your Sword. Then, when Pyros goes down, you need to do 3 rounds of double jumps hitting the boss 3 times each round (9 hits in total). In this way he will fall before the floor is covered.
Besides, you can destroy the fireballs he shoots from above so they don't burn the floor.

For the Lich, he's a very technical boss. If you know what to do in each attack you can beat it easily without even being hurt.
HE appears in 4 different places, and depending on the place, he attacks in a specific way. Each attack can be successfully avoid/blocked using the exact ability.

Accessibility options are a thing in games nowadays.

Is there a proper order

I don't recall bosses in The Maze Of Galious were this difficult, or maybe I was a much better gamer as a kid, don't know.

Also is there an order to the realms? Is it recommended to complete them in a certain order in which they increase in difficulty?

usually harder bosses (and some shops !) are unreachable unless you get a gift from a god, but to get the gift you have to slay some bosses...

this separates the bosses that you can kill in the present, from the bosses that you will be able to kill in the future, after getting the quest reward, after killing reachable bosses.
