"Will there be a modding tools available?
Allowing players to mod a game is almost always a wonderful thing. Developing a good set of modding tools can be the best way to increase game’s long term shelf-life and generate fresh content to game community, I see nothing but positive benefits.
If there’s enough demand, I’m open to developing a modding toolkit after I have achieved my initial vision for this game."
It seems to me that this is the only thing that I am missing.
I know there will be trading quest events (stalker like missions), and events impacting the world and traders (shooting the trader supplier), and in a few weeks/months, there will be a video about lore, but it seems to me that the game will be too sandboxy to my taste.
Hard to say. It also depends not only on the modding tools but also how open the code itself is and how big the modding community for Road to Vostok will be.
The developer said that he wants to provide the best modding tools for the community but since we haven't seen anything yet we can't really say for sure what will be possible.
I think we all agree that a good mod support is important for the game.
