Gameplay Loop
Hi Dev's/Antii,

Starting off here, loving the game. This is not bad feedback but constructive.

My main issue right now is gameplay loop, what is the actual objective. I am fine with everything else but I just feel like I get some stuff, go out, kill some stuff. loot, fast travel home, store it and repeat. That gameplay loop becomes very boring and fast especially when your solo playing.

Just struggling for what this game's actual gameplay loop will be apart from just go out and a kill stuff.

Body's IMO should stay on map until you move map I am having to rush still fighting just to loot AI body's and I want to enjoy a much smoother paced game-play loop where tactics are needed not to feel rushed. One thing I feel should be key in this game is persistence. If I clear an area, I would love to come back to that area in x hours to be still clear and loot to be still missing until such point. When you have more maps in the loop of course. It will force us to explore different maps than to just target the same map's with the best loot e.g im just farming radar at this point. Different safe houses so I don't have to run back all the time. I find myself skipping the return path at the moment.

Backpacks are just a capacity number and not a slots thing. Feel like that should be changed and player should still have a capacity issues but track the capacity of the backpack slots as-well. I should be able to do a food run and store one backpack full of food and another maybe with medical items etc.

IMHO the actual objective will be tasks progression.
If I get it correctly, you can loose everything on death in Border zone except your task progression.

That's an right anwser but also an really cut down one.

Right now you don't have many things to do, that's why Looting seems Pointless. Once we get way more Objectives for that Loot like Survival (not only Food and Water but also cold, warm e.t.c), Crafting (the 1 crafting Recipe right now is just to show that something is there), Shelter Furniture, Trader Tasks (The once right now are Placeholders), Keys to open up Shelters, Faction Bosses and Story Elements in the World (that get randomized) and so much more the whole Gameplay Loop will be more clear. And don't forget, it's mostly randomized and still Permadeath in Vostok Area.

I know that the actual Demo is called "Gameplay Loop Demo" but there is still so much missing. I think you will get the plan once EA Drops.

There will be round 30 Maps with way more Shelters. Don't worry too much about that.
Fast Travel won't be a thing than either.

Still hope that atleast the Tetris Inventory comes back.

Overall every Feedback is welcome, but i think that you see that Demo as something it isn't.

Yeah, currently gameplay loop is too shallow to get me hooked similiar to Tarkov. There is also too plenty of loot and getting shoot is way too forgiving unlike Tarkov. Current state I think it will keep peeps engaged about 2-4 hours after that there is not much to see.

In Tarkov I get huge excitment spikes when your guy is bleeding from every hole and most of your bones are broken and you have to make it out somehow with amazing loot you have gathered. Then you might happen to upon some healing kit and food which enables you to get over the finish line.

But yeah overall game is definetly heading to right direction and I will be supporting when it comes out of EA just because of principle and I like the OG graphics look which Dev has been able to achieve.
