Horrible just horrible feedback, Insanely counter productive and down right dissrespectful. You are giving no value in return to the dev and it comes across as complete hate. Do better, try to at least see his POV and then make something constructive. Give out value.
Dev isn't looking for a publisher. RtV is fully financed by Patreon and some contest he won.
Maybe there will be some partnerships, dunno. Publishers are mostly the Main Problem why we only get bugged out crap without any love nowadays. So i think it would be best for RtV to stay without one.

However, i understand that the term "Demo" can be a little bit confusing. This was the only way to show People the direction the Game is going for free. It is firstly meant for People who are following the Development and want to give initial feedback on the Progress.
i talked to the dev, around 1 or 1,5 Years ago to make those ... lets call them ... tests only available through patreon. He doesn't want it and rn i also think it's fine to hand that .... test .... out to everyone.
While it is good for us some People who don't follow the development maybe don't understand the sense of this "Demo". I can understand booth sides.
He's been doing this project for a long time, so I'd say he's "invested".

I just couldn't agree more.
OP's "feedback" is the stuff that usually comes from the opposite end where you put food in order to eat.
It just doesn't make sense to me. He wasn't lied to, he wasn't robbed, his time was "wasted" due to his own poor decision making.. It baffles me how just Sh*tty some people can be unprovoked, like does he feel happy being just a nuisance? Rather than being on the spectrum of taking part on making the game better?
This dev is one of the most communicative, active and trustworthy developers ever.
I think it's just the expectation of a more fleshed out demo because of the context of other older boxed games and indie successes with massive Demos, like Factorio for example. RtV Public Demo 2 has heaps of gameplay compared to the old Demoscene of the 90s. And in the end, it Valve is in control of naming the big green Steam button labelled 'Demo', so expectations are set there too.
Not that hard to get better weapons.
Im always really happy to see rational human beings left in the world. After reading a few lines I was just about to post almost the same things you wrote. Some folks just miss the whole point of these release demos. Theyre likely salty for some reason to EA games... not like we all havent been burned before... but ffs this is a free demo... gotta be a sociopath if a person doesnt realize its just a play test. Or also not taking into consideration the person/people behind these games. Not every EA game we come across is going to end up like "TheDayBefore" lol
Love everything you said.
