When do you get regal customers?
Is there something that makes them appear? I haven't ever seen any.

Think story progression and/or reputation and/or restaurant level. Many of the additional tips that start new game elements are tied to restaurant level and/or reputation when you get the info that some customers will try to run without paying their tab.

yeah it told me about that, which is why I suspect I should be getting them as customers.

I've heard that you need regal furniture before they'll start visiting, but I have no idea if that's accurate.

Regal furniture (as in, the stuff with that word in the name and made from stone and orichalcum) seems to be a buff for children. At least, that's what the buff icon looks like to me. Cozy buffs townsfolk and vintage buffs elderly. I expect there's one for tourists too. I haven't gotten to a stage where nobles even show up yet.

Im on Level 10 of Restaurant and Level 10 of Reputation and they dont, so i guess i need to work some more on those, at least i hope its based on those and not the story quests as i still did not move the story past paying 2k to the tax collector, now i need to pay 10k but id rather put that into getting 3rd tier recipes unlocked so i can make money even faster, the second tier recipes are basically my main income right now.

I definitely had some appearing by reputation level 10, though from what I remember I'd already paid off the second debt.

As an aside, certain types of furniture are supposed to influence the types of customer that show up, but it never actually seemed to do anything.

Yeah, you're going to need to progress the story. That also unlocks further dungeons to go to, which have ingredients for a bunch of the advanced dishes.

Yeah but from what ive seen i should be able to do a few of the tier 3 recipes so if i can do that upgrade with the mats i have available right now im doing that first.

Figured it out you guys. You need to upgrade your restaurant to level 8, then pick up "Pasta Satisfaction" quest from Choux, a greater noble (fat guy). This unlocks both nobles and greater nobles.

I only JUST got this quest, and I'm restaurant lv 13. Not sure what triggers it.
