How to cook Tier 2 Recipes?

I have the recipes, I have the ingredients, but when I use a station, the tier 2 recipes don't show up. My restaurant is level 9, and I updated all my cooking stations once.

You need to upgrade to atleast level 3 stations I think.

It was a little confusing because I had assumed that if a recipe is 2 star, you needed the two star table, but instead you need a 3 star table to make a 2 star recipe? Is this not a bug or intended?

Press right trigger on controller when you use a station when the restaurant is not open. Don't know for keyboard but you can see the prompt at the top of the screen.

ah what the heck, how are you supposed to know all of these game mechanics with the way they laid things out. This game is not intuitive, it needs directions on how to do things. I just figured out you upgrade the stations with the arrow that's very easy to miss when you interact with the,

Thanks a bunch. For some reason, I kept thinking you gotta upgrade the stations at the carpenter or some other NPC given that's how everything else is upgraded in the game.

my gf plays the game too and she has the same issue. she has recipes for steaming pot at level 2, and the steaming station is at level 3. she still cant choose any level 2 recipe

I believe there was a similiar confusing situation with leveled stuff in cult of the lamb at it's release, and yes, turned out it was a bug. Maybe the same is here

Needing a level 3 cooking station for a tier 2 recipe is definitely intentional in this case. Basically all upgrades alternate between increasing the amount of meals you can queue up at once and increasing the level of recipes you can make. So level 3 = tier 2, level 5 = tier 3, level 7 = tier 4

oh okay, this is VERY confusing. but thanks for letting me know, I was pretty upset after spending so much time upgrading my stuff and still not seeing more of my high lvl recipes available @_@
