BTW, You're also better not using brewerry at all atm.
I just tried it right away on a new day so i wouldn't have wasted my time like going dungeon diving.
But the Brewery mechanic is that when you try to replace or change two existing mod, it seemed to have removed the first mod which i didn't want to replace (the second mod is what i wanted to replace) and there also seems to be some sort of PERM/Locking on mods when you try to reroll, so it's kind of bad all around since you can't reroll endlessly and there's no specific percentage rate or list on what you could possibly roll asides from the general (rate up with one dish). Everything is just extremely vague for no reason at all lol.
I mean there's a difference between good tutorials and bad ones, also there isn't even a lot of mechanics to begin with so it would be easier with just a very simple explanation through the mailbox that they use to explain other things eventually. Like a letter saying, hey! If you want to get stronger check out the smithy, it'll take X number of days for a weapon to be upgraded, ETC. Also brewery is literal bad Gacha, i was so disappointed and I would have liked to know that beforehand instead of restarting my day. And waiting for weapon upgrades is annoying generally no matter the game if it's not explicit in how long the wait days are cause then you get cases where "is it just gone? Did I just waste my money and lose my weapon?" I don't even remember HADES or one step to eden even having a tutorial, since most of the way they displayed the combat and UI/Description for weapons and abilities have been very helpful to the player to choose confidently what they want or buildpath.
This is not towards you btw, but like It would be nice to know what certain effects do, or how much it increases the percentage for rate up in brewery and such so it's not like an actual waste of time. It's just helpful. IDK Finding out what certain stuff does has generally left me disappointed.
Kitchen stuff has been fine otherwise/Restaurant mechanics.
But you get your weapon back the next day, just talk to her again and click upgrade. In the Corner your weapon should be there and should have an extra star for the upgrade. If it's not there you might have to submit for Bug.
If a game has good conveyance a detailed tutorial is not needed. This game does not have good conveyance.
Like I need to figure out myself that I need to buy other kitchen desks to craft other recipes, and now I still don't know what pepper/flame/mushroom/etc icons on the left side of recipes mean.
I'd rather have a tutorial than no tutorial at all TBH if they're not going to explain anything. I feel like I don't even have room for experimentation honestly because weapons/armor will take up money+Slots that you just don't have Early Game. Like fire, ice, cool it's kind of self explanatory. TF is Sweetness, oh you have to apply it in order for it to work so now you have to RNG a sweetness application mod on a main wep. and I still have no idea what parry is like is it only weapon specific?? I wasn't even aware parry is in the game.
yea some of this stuff requires prior knowledge and i can imagine if you don't have that, it would frankly suck, I did figure out that myself as soon as i saw a customer walking in asking for something I didn't have. Also took me a while to realize the carpenter doesn't upgrade your kitchenware and you had to do it yourself.
Also those are the ingredients needed for the recipe, lol. It's just showing how much you have of that certain ingredient and how much it needs for it.
I think I know that part, it shows how much ingredients you have and how much is needed. What I’m wondering about are the icons on the left.
Like here:

You can see the flame icon highlighted on the left of the recipe image, do you know what that means? Some recipes even have more than one icon lphighlighted.
There are some hints/tutorials that are delivered in the mail. For example there is a letter that explains the cooking stations and tells you that you can find them at the carpenter. The only thing is... it showed up for me on day 13.
Also, I'm just as confused on those recipe icons now that you mentioned them.
I think I've figured it out.
Fire = Hot
Popsicle = Cold
Salt Shaker = Salty
Candy = Sweet
Coffee Cup = Bitter
Lemon Slice = Sour
Mushroom = Savouriness/Umami
It's the 5 basic tastes (+hot & cold). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taste#Basic_tastes
I could also be completely wrong, which isn't uncommon for me.
I think you're half right
But With the brewery, it actually shows the same icons.
I believe those icons are MOD specific/Combat related.
When you have mods on your weapon, you can upgrade those mods effects by using the related ingredients to the mod.
So say you have Sweetness Mod/ AKA Your weapon applies sweetness or does increased dmg with sweetness inflicted on the enemy
you want to buff your sweetness effect/mod on your weapon, you go to brewery and you need to drop your weapon and also the ingredient that has the sweetness icon/SWEETNESS stat to increase it.
The icon also SHOWS what recipe/DISH that dish will affect.
So if you want to increase the chances of a FIRE MOD to appear on your weapon(RNG BTW) through brewery, you need to create 1 FIRE DISH.
As you can see, spicy soup is a fire dish and will affect any fire-related mods (upgrades(?)
Is that means if my weapon have a fire-related mods, I need to bring a fire dish into the dungeon?
No, You only need fire dish for rerolling/Rolling fire mods in the brewery. It's only an upgrade material, if that makes sense. It won't do anything but take up a slot if you bring it with you in a dungeon. Only bring it in your inventory if you want to make a fire mod on one of your equipment and take it to the brewery, mind you it's not guaranteed to roll a fire mod BTW. It's all gacha and there's no rate posted for it.
This is exactly one of the many reasons why i suggest a guide or tutorial about mods/Brewery because there's 0 explanation for it.
