It is very common for small dev teams to purchase Asset Packs to use in their game until they reach a financial point where they can hire a separate graphics designer. The purchasing of Asset Packs is commonly referred to as Asset Flipping.
the amount of toxic troll reviews never ceases to amaze me and thankfully doesn't apply to this game.
So it doesn't really have any effect on the game play just helps to flesh out the world. That makes sense to me, thanks,
Ah, that would give out a bad rep, thanks

Thats exactly it. If you (op) noticed there are a lot of games using the same graphics And if people see them they often assume instantly its a cash grab/asset flip how the other explained, but there are people that dont have the time or simply the skill to make own high quality graphics themselfes etc.
People often using this word too fast and didnt take a deeper look into the Game. I always do myself if i read things like this in reps. Via streams, gameplay vids on youtube or whatever.
I think this game can be a gem in the future. Its well thought out and worked on constantly so far i can tell.
