Annoying alarms
Is there a way to turn off alarms completely?

Some people may like it, but the game stopped being fun for me since the alarm function has been implemented. It would be awesome to have the option to turn it off.

No, it has been asked for but not implemented or on the dev path that I have seen.

Yeah thats too bad. The Alarm-Thing is really just annoying and frustrating, it gives nothing positive imo.

I actually like the thrill of danger when I'm looting a car or going through a building. I would prefer that the alarm just has a one-off chance of going off when you first go through a door though

it also should not spawn an army out of thin air. its more then fine if it attracts zombies from a rather large radius, but spawning out of thin air is stupid. good game however.

i like the "thrill", perhaps not so much in early game without a weapon, lol BUT i would like the option to have it on/off so the game can be played my way much like special zombies and horde night.

Yeah the dev seems to have a reluctance to add too many "toggles" to the setup options but other games allow you to customise your gameplay a lot more unfortunately. I would have liked a more discrete control over the special zombies as well but he wasn't keen on the idea (plus it may have been technically harder to implement)

I never said other games allow you to disable car alarms ... it was just a general comment that other games seem to be able to tune your options in a bit more detail. If you read above I'm not even a proponent of disabling them ;)

sorry i meant to make it clear but forgot, i meant having the option as an on/off thing exactly like the special zombies and horde night so you control the game how you want as alarms have an impact the same as specials and horde night on the game.

Alarm sets off and can "respawn". I don't mind alarms but once it has set off, or doesn't go off at all, it should stay that way. Triggering the same alarm more than once can be annoying. I play hardcore difficulty with no loot respawn so sometimes I'm double checking vehicles to see if I looted them already, that alone can re-trigger an alarm.

Stand by a car, open and close the hood or trunk repeatedly, it will trigger eventually. Maybe the final release will have an option to toggle it on or off.

I'm not really complaining just sharing my experience.

For me personally it would be enough if the alarm cant be triggered like you described. (But i think for other ones an option to set it off in gameplay would be better)
i also noticed it by opening the hood again, because i missed the spot to loot and opened and closed it 2 times and the alarm rings lol. Same for the military base, my wife ALWAYS triggers the alarm with going throug these security doors. we sometimes have this 7 or more times ringing.

Maybe a Skill from the character creation (wichxou can CHOOSE not RNg xD) or some thing in the tech tree that allows to avoid the alarms could help.

I feel like some alarms on motels have a reset radius....If you go too far away, they'll go off again (even if the door is still standing wide open).

THAT is annoying.
