The last time I tried to play and start learning the game I fully expected a game full of zombies or the like. But in a game called no-one survived, my first attempt to walk into an area to find food I was killed by.... Survivors... Not only that it was a huge gang of them. I didn't even get a single hit in. after that I re-spawned and quit. I didn't even get the chance to learn and get to a point were I could learn. Not sure what I did wrong, but maybe I'll try again soon. I just find the title and my death ironic.

For fast action you should play Doom or stuff like that. This is a (quite good) SURVIVAL game, patience is needed ^^

I love survival games and play more than a few. This one just made it hard to understand what I needed to do and then to be killed by survivors.... I will be playing again just thought I would point out the irony. When I am done in the infected and 7 days to die and and Medieval Dynasty I'll come back to this one and give it another go.

Sounds like you came across one of the bandit camps. These are definitely not beginner friendly. They require being well equipped with appropriate armor and weapons. There is a tutorial you can go through before creating a character to learn the basics.

In addition to Steam to acquire information there is Discord also.

If it was a bandit camp you walked into it's not surprising you died. They were added in June in patch 0.0.4.6 and they are intended to be a late game activity. Unusual that you spawned near them or maybe you just walked a fair way to them. I don't know if you prefer to not use this sort of resource but the interactive map at https://nosintel.com has all the locations marked out, including the bandit camps
