Car Repair Kits.

Hello. I am playing the new map. V0.0.6.2. Pretty early in the game, maybe day 2, I located the Merchant who sells Car Repair Kits. I purchased it , and not to long after I located a Hatch Back and got my first wheels. I have since located a Pick Up Truck, a Sedan, and a second Hatch Back. I am now in day 50 and I visit the Merchant frequently. Infact I have studied all that is to be learned. The problem is, as I mentioned, it is now day 50 and this vendor trades canned food, a prepared meal and advanced parts. The vendor has not ever had another Car Repair Kit. Just the one I purchased on day 2. Is this generated randomly and I just have bad Merchant luck? ONE Repair kit in 50 days? Other than starting the game over again, is there anything I can do? I have Merchant restocks merchandise set at 5 days. Thanks.

The car repair part quantity is random every spawn .. can be 0, 1 or 2 so sounds like you have bad luck. There are two car repair part vendors .. they are detailed on the interactive map at https://nosintel.com

Also you can decrease the time it takes for the vendor to reset their stock in your settings

If you have the Machining Table Blueprints you can make the Car Repair Kit. So that would be my next move, try and get a machining table built. Car Parts are everywhere so the Repair Kits could be made any time you need.

Yep... in the beginning of the game you are reliant on the RNG luck of the repair kit vendors, try to upgrade your skills asap to the point where you can create them yourself.

Thanks to everyone for the great information and help. I have been playing No One Survived since it's infancy so I know in time, once I establish electricity I can and will produce Repair Kits. I am glad to hear there is a second Merchant who trades Repair kits as the one I use now has truly not given any up since day 2. One question to all. I frequently see people referring to "resetting" game play. IE: length of year, Zombie type and strength, or Looting times. Yet other than the original setting I applied at the beginning of new game, I do not see where this option is available. When I look at my "Settings" I only see Video. Audio, and Control. I do not know where to look to lets say increase difficulty or change loot timing. Can someone let me know where or how this is done after game has been started? Thanks.

go into your inventory, top left button should be a book icon, click that then "information" click that and it should be all the settings you choose when started game

OMG great thanks. I was totally looking in "all the wrong places". I have never noticed this on the inventory window. Thanks again.

The ability to change your settings in game is only relatively recent

Yes they have had them as a chance to drop since they were introduced but it's probably the hardest way to get them ....
