yea ofc i do but everybody plays survival games there own way i like to experiment with lots of different builds and idea's this just makes it quicker :p

Host only in multiplayer. In dedi can be anyone but can be password locked and has less options. There is also a free insta build mode in single/multi but not dedi

There is a button called Creative in the admin menu (around middle slightly left iirc) which toggles it on and off

I'm in the admin commands (Alt+shift+O) and clicked on creative mode but it only works for me as the host and my players are still required to gather materials and add them when building. Has something changed?

Nope, has always worked that way.
