Solution for error crash 887A0006
I keep crashing. About every 5-10 minutes. I have windows 10 up to date. Most recent AMD driver for RX 5700XT GPU. I have tried the -dx11 trick with no luck. Anyone have any success overcoming this issue.

ive looked on google and what ive gleamed so far:

As for the Black Ops Cold War Error Code: 887A0005, this error is occurring due to the game’s RTX. Disable RTX features in Black Ops Cold War and the error will be fixed. If you are getting this error on a non-RX GPU then try reducing the GPU clock by 150 MHz and the error will be fixed. Alternatively, players can drop the resolution scaler in the graphics options to reduce the GPU load. This will stop the game from crashing.

Scan and repair game files
Update your graphics driver
Install all Windows updates
Disable HAGs (Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling)
Disable in-game Ray Tracing

The error means that the outdated graphics card cannot process what is being displayed by the game, so it crashes. A missing key in the Registry editor, GPU overclock, and corrupted or missing files can also cause the game to crash.

and this link had a lot to say

hope it helps, something might? i suggest only doing what you feel safe to try

Hi, have you tried anything else or maybe even find solution?

You can try updating the driver to the latest version and switching the game's boot to DX11

For my AMD graphics card, the only way I could run game was by opening Amd pro edition software and running log metrics. If I didn't game would simply crash.
