The two backpacks you should always hunt for.
The two backpacks you should always hunt for are the smaller Military Backpack this one will be Tan/desert cammo. it carrys 10x20 and you can fit 8 into a car/truck for a total 1,600 slots.

The 2nd backpack is the Extra large backpack it has 10x25 and you can fit 6 in a car/truck for 1500 slots.

Just a heads up the bigger bag is great for looting but atm im running 8 Tab military backpacks and one extra large on my back and filling up the military ones as i go

Ya, I noticed those tan ones take up less space and are more efficient car loads. Good tip.

Is the extra large one labeled as such when you find backpacks during your loot runs? I have never run across one as yet but haven't been every where on the map yet. The motel near my base always has packs of all sizes so its time to pay more attention to the nomenclature.

You can tell by weight of the backpack. The smaller military backpack has a weight of 0.9, the larger one has a weight of 1.

This is a screenshot of one of the two colors of the extra large backpack aka largest one in game atm.

How do you collect extra backpacks. All I can do is dismantle or equip, but if I already have a packpack, equipping does not work.

It is kinda complicated. But from inside a crate you just drag it out and then close your inventory (Press inventory button not escape) and the bag will stay on your cursor, then you can run to wherever you want to take it and either open your inventory and drop it on the ground, or open a crate or storage and drop it into that.

Or if the bag is on the ground you do the same thing but from the nearby items menu when you open your inventory.

How do you interact with the bags in the truck? Do you have to drop your current backpack and equip them?

Equip it or put it on the ground then interact with it.
