Limestone

Where? Except for looting it, I can't seem to find a rock that yields limestone.

There are different types of rocks if you look around. The main ones you see are the moss covered ones for stone, or the red / orange rocks for clay. I did find one that was a paler white in colour than the moss covered rocks and it gave limestone. Not sure how common they are as I stopped after getting enough limestone for the research tree.

There are also a few field locations with many rocks scattered about, I assume there will be different types there but havent checked them out.

There is one location I found near the middle of the map that had a mining type settlement at the top of a long fenced in pathway. There were plenty of ore and rock types in those chests. SW and up a hill from the Merchant that sells the solar panels and teaches electronics and metallurgy

I found a mine with limestone and copper east of the airport in the end, but thank you for extensive answer :)

Eastnortheast of the airport, there is marks of mountain on the map itself, it's around there, with a entrance and a exit. You will see them by the big rocks collected ontop of eachother.

Having seen these posts I've been searching around the eastern side of the airport and think I've found the place referred to. However it's not a mine where you have to dig stuff up, it's a yard up in the hills SE NOT NE of the airport. There's copper, saltpeter, lime, cement, iron, coal, aluminum in the crates and under the hood of vehicles. The coordinates of the yard are 1,140, 506

I can get you the coords later, it's a bit further and it is a mine. I will go back there today so will post after I been there :)

Coords to one of the cave entrance/exit is: 1,239, 442. If you follow it through you get to another entrance/exit.

Oh great. I'll go back nnd take another look in a few minutes time. I was thinking the stuff I got earlier won't respawn for a while. Maybe a mine will.

Can confirm mines respawn, there are multiple mines with different content :)
