Plant Fibers?

Checking random plants I have only found edible herbs and tips or am I just blind?

Chop down a small tree and you get "Plant Fibres".

there is also mushrooms all over the place, can cook them with water or eat raw

Small trees cannot be chopped with axe. I tried several small trees. Just goes right through like they aren't there

the sapling trees can be chopped
