Skills , how do I increase engineering

Trying to raise skills to unlock technical tree. By working on the bench, had increase Work skill (mainly by doing stone arrows , easy craft) I imagine engineering is by Building stuff ?? any easy craft to do that ??

read books unfortunately, and if you have low mentality then you cannot even read books. not great when you need to build a storage box and cant without this skill!

found out , by building support pillars, and deconstructing them (1 log each) engineering skill goes up pretty fast

So what I would suggest is try to find the books then also keep a regular magazine which every time you read gives you I think 10 or 15 mental back. So for every one time reading an engineering book read a magazine 3 times.

Traders seem to be the fastest way to learn those skills, just trade some spare books and attachments. It does still use some mentality tho.

when i turned my logs into planks and started building home with , my engeneering level increased , level 4 i ve never read a book :)
