Bags unlootable

Why cant i take bags with me? Its impossible to put them in the inventory.

If you have a bag on your back, you cant put into another one. If you try to carry more of one, build a cart or repair a car.
Then you see in your TAB at the bottom the backpack on the floor and you can put it in into a cart or a trunk :)

This is on the roadmap to be added (backpacks in backpacks)

Really hope this doesnt happen. or its limited. Like you should not be able to put a filled military bag into a military bag. Surroundead does this and then it turns into a game of backpack tetris which can get annoying.

At first I didn't like the current system but the more I played the more it made sense. If you tried to nest backpacks in real life my guess is it wouldn't work out that well so yeah, I'm happy to drag my cart around or throw them into the boot of a vehicle. .. I vote for leaving it as it is.

Because I played Scum so much, I was completely expecting to be able to throw the backpacks into the pack you are wearing. Oh well
I would like it if you could fit some in, but it's not a big deal.

i have always enjoyed in surrounded (and deadpoly), the fact that we can put containers into containers, such as:
- stuffing backpacks and armour with items,
- putting those into another container
- playing around a bit with a tetris mini game to maximise on space slots and feel satisfied
- putting all the "containers" into a large wardrobe which has a very high but a max weight limit,
- and feel very satisfied that we have been able to not only Store a large amount of items in the wardrobe, but we have also been able to categorise and in some cases, Sub-categorise the items too :)

in real life, i can also do things like this;
- put items into kinder egg plastic container
- put kinder egg containers into a box
- put box into a very large carrier bag
- put very large carrier bag, squashed a bit into a small bag
- put small bag into a shoebox
- put the shoebox into a backpack along with a couple of other shoe boxes
- etc :)

so why not in a game, like we currently can"

You can put items into a backpack and then put that item into a container or car boot or cart. It would make sense to be able to put an empty backpack into another backpack but it doesn't really make sense that you can put a full backpack into another backpack that may be no bigger.

Any use of realism arguments kind of falls apart when you stuff a couple of solar panels that are as big as you into a backpack together with a generator and then walk off with it :D

ah thats true, i found 1 big generator and 1 solar panel and they are huge :)

Just in case I wasn't clear in my explanation ... you cannot currently put an empty backpack into another backpack.

Hand cart or trunk to store extra bags are your friend when it comes to grabbing extra bags. You can store up to 6 backpacks in the trunk of each vehicle. You can also search them by hitting F looking at the backpack instead of hitting E and then select use and it will open it allowing you to fill the bags in the trunk or cart without having to swap bags. To swap bags, you have to hit the little shield icon after hitting your tab muscle, and drag the bag you want on top of the bag you already have and it will swap them out.

Pretty sure backpack has to be on the ground to interact with it using F
