Square Enix only wanted to do a PSP rom dump on Playstation 4+5 using Sony's PSP emulator and instead forgot they had a really amazing and superior mobile remaster that they could've easily ported to PC.

It was a minimal low cost effort. Meanwhile Tactics Ogre got the pristine treatment. Square Enix' priorities are determined by whoever is championing a specific series. Unfortunately it seems like there aren't really anyone who champions Valkyrie Profile.

I was expecting more people to be angry that VProfile Lenneth didnt come to PC (steam) the same day as the console release.

its a PSP port ,, they just emulate the game on PS4/PS5. Honestly I was expecting more enhanced version using the mobile UI and clean graphics. I can even run the game way better on PPSSPP emulator upscaled to 4K using my PC.

I would love a port of both games to be honest. This game is not bad, it's just average. Literally right in the middle 5/10, I can commend it for visuals, soundtrack (for what it's worth) and for reviving the franchise, but the way it was executed I would say 5/10 is generous.

After completing teh game I felt absolutely nothing, it's like half of it was cut off just to make it in time, we touched nothing about that dude we encounter and it felt like it was important.
Hilde's vengeance bugged me and I was stuck on first combat encounter, I don't even want to do seraphic gate because I only get the reward for my saved game, and I don't even want that reward. The game is unrewarding, extremely short, very badly designed. Especially Combat so clunky, you get animation locked so you can't evade/parry/block, you have to use an item and get punished to it. I'm not gonan say i'm pretty sure the developers never played the original games, I'm SURE they didn't.

If they did they would have made a better game.

never coming to PC, because its not a port. its literally just the PSP rom running on the software based PSP emulator that ps4/5 use. its not even at a higher resolution, youre literally playing a psp game blown up to 1080/4k if you bought it on PS.

What about the remaster on Android? If my smartphone can run it, I don't see why my computer can't ;)

There is no remaster. There are just ports of the PSP port, which besides the 3D cutscenes it adds, actually loses features compared to the PS1 original, such as being able to sort items, switch characters with L/R, and change the equipment of inactive party members. The original PS1 localization also fixed a lot of bugs and weirdness like Lenneth's skills getting reset if you change her equipment, and some weirdness with Purify Weird Soul.

Plus, the PSP port and all its subsequent rereleases do some weird ♥♥♥♥ with aspect ratio, fonts, and the script. Honestly, the script cleanup is appreciated, but it's relatively minor, and none of the voice lines were rerecorded, so... it kind of is what it is.

So uh, just emulate the original NA PS1 release with Duckstation. You're not really missing anything, and you might it even find it superior to the original.

Never understood why people are eager to throw away so much money paying for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ports and 'remasters' of games that were already fine to begin with. Only the SaGa series has gotten the correct treatment in that regard, with all of its remasters restoring cut content and adding optional QoL features.
