Right, but what happened when you clicked play? Did a window come up or did nothing happen at all?
"The only way you can get this game for free, is by someone gifting it to you."
But then again as you said, you've purchased the game before but it doesn't work, so what makes you think any different from downloading the game from somewhere else.
Because you're just asking how to legally get games for free that you can't legally get for free. Simple as that. There's no answer for you beyond "You can't".
I also don't think the game requires an internet connection beyond the standard Denuvo stuff, so at install and after big hardware/OS changes. Because the game has Denuvo it is unlikely for the near future that you will be able to find the game elsewhere even illegally.
If you read the system requirements it will tell you that yes the game will work on Windows 10. I played on Windows 10.
Square Enix now makes games just to make money, a mixture of meaningless mechanics remixed in every title released.
I wanted to get it too but I changed idea.
10 dollar for dlc, one weapon!? Crazy....
No news since the initial patent last year I don't think. Fwiw this game isn't an extremely large download (17GB, so not tiny but far from some of the larger games out there).
