i try to beat illusion realm and get foundation potion thingy and keep get my ass beat. any idea why i suck?

If this is early on, try strengthening your gear before you enter, it helps a bit. Also, make sure that you have some form of healing like lifesteal. Actual healing skills have insanely long cooldowns or are extremely weak/useless, you're better off researching Artifact spells (artifact tab for research) for the 38% Heal and spamming that whenever your team gets low.
