A BIG thumbs down to Early Access

Come on people, stop putting up with this crap. Early Access is nothing but a way to get your money because they can't get investors. Their second try was a flop and now they want you all to pay for this ones early access. Makes me think of those old cartoons when a persons head would turn into a SUCKER because they fell for something lame. .

If you don't like early access, then you should wait until their full release. I loved my time in early access on Subnautica and other games. I like finding bugs, suggesting ideas, and seeing how the game progresses. It's not about money and investors. It's about gaining feedback and creating a community.

I absolutely loved Below Zero and I enjoy the Early Access experience. However its a type of experience that's not for everyone so I can understand that some ppl dont appreciate it in which case, just dont do it and wait. It's not about being a sucker its about ppl who love that kind of things and appreciate the opportunity. I dreamed of early access before it was a thing now i'm gratefull. No need to impose your view in such an agressive/condescending way my friend. There's a hole lot of different type of gamers who enjoy various things. Live and let live.

Early Access Subnautica was the best gaming experience of my life. In fact, the highlights of my gaming experiences are from very long early access phases. Early Access can be used to rip people off, and a number of games do. But your aggressively negative view derives from generalized short form content causing brain degeneration. And to be clear, this developer can get investors for Subnautica 2.

Yeah, early access is disappointing, very disappointing. I did it for both Subnautica and Below Zero, I regret it. The games were incomplete buggy mess... I knew it, but experiencing it is much worse than just saying it.

I also feel like I'm spoiling myself for the full release of the game, since at the end I only have the final 10 to 20% to discover... All the gameplay pleasure that could be condensed in the first run is totally diluted in the long hours of early access gameplay, successive patches... You've mastered the game, you're no longer afraid of anything when Unknown World adds a super Leviathan, an interesting new zone...

I'll pass for this one.
Everyone does what they want, but it's definitely not a practice to be encouraged.

I loved early access for SBZ, being witness to how the game grew, how the story changed, how the landscaping for new areas evolved - I got several games for the price of one. Sure, there were bugs, like dying of thirst again and again for a while because not enough resources for producing water respawned.
But that didn't bother me. It's fun to find and report bugs, make suggestions, be a tiny part of the development of these great games.
But sure, it's not for everyone. If you like to play games in one go and enjoy a complete story, don't choose early access.

are you like new to subnautica because each game has had early access and that's what made the final products so fun, subnautica was and still is perfect, below zero is actually pretty great but we just compare it to the first game too much. Without early access the developers would just make a game off what they think we want, not what we tell them we want. It's not a soulless cash grab its a way that the developers to help improve the game
Heck they advise you not to purchase the game if your not wanting to pay for a incomplete early access. you dont have to play, you can wait 2-3 years for the finished game and play that if you hate early access that much.

The Early Access adopters don't count as those investors? Why don't the "legitimate investors" count as the suckers then?

Early Access sucks, but I understand the benefit of having beta testers who pay you. I would do it too. :)

But I'm not buying or playing until release.

EXCUSE YOU?
early access is like the only way to get community wanted features in so that its easier to implement other wise the Devs have to rewrite code to put it in (and maybe even change the story 99% of the way through development. its just not feasible or nice to the Devs D:< and you have the AUDACITY to act like their not even people GET THE F### OUT)
