not true permanent debuffs as they said. you can repair or replace it. losing an arm and no way of getting a new 1 will be a permanent debuff.
But wouldn't mind it too much either.
Would be cool if they had the full range of gurgling noises from the original and if they thought a bit more about the tech used with actual divers.
Though obviously it's never going to be a simulation.
I'm a diver myself and that's not how masks or helmets work at depth though.
A diver equalizes their mask to be the same pressure as the environment. It would therefore never crack due to the pressure.
Only subs crack if they're not equalized.
If the helmet cracks as an effect when you die or something, fine. But I don't want to see that in the game.
