Why early access?
Didnt you earn enough money from the first two games to release a finished product?

Early access was a large part of the reason Subnautica 1 was so good. If they treat this EA like they did the first one and use it to improve the game based on MEASURED feedback then it'll be good again. EA is usually trash but for Subnautica 1 they did it right, let's see if they can do it again.

It's another team this time, as far as I can tell.

they have used EA in several games to very good result. Subnautica, Below Zero, Moonbreaker. Its a process that just works for them.

I think you are confusing early access with a kickstarter. They serve entirely different purposes.

They want the community to play the game early and give as much feedback as possible, so they can implement suggestions and changes inspired by that feedback.

I don't like EA either, and even if they do it right, I'll probably stay on the sidelines and avoid playing until the real release. I'd rather play a final product than something incomplete.

people and their stupid clownfarms. Fu**ing facepalm.

There's nothing wrong with putting out early access for games. In fact, most game developing companies end up giving a more than satisfying product on the 1.0 release. Best example, yours truly: Satisfactory!

Adding on, what would you prefer?
A $70 dumpster fire in your garden or a smooth well made and time tested therepy filled with thalasophobia?

asothers have said also for what its worth bzwouldnt be what it is without ea period as well......for better and worst so it can be a double edged sword....im worried like many many things in this world....they come one time and thats it. For them to somehow go from gret to mediocre back to great will be hard to do and dare i say no likely

The point of early access is to get feedback so they can improve the game and fix any bugs they didn’t find before.

Totally agree with you op. I guess I'll buy it on the next sale and play it when it's 1.0, which according to them, would be 2028.

It's their third kick at the can. Do they really need people telling them how to make the same game for a third time now?

The only bad thing about early access games is avoiding the barrage of online content that could potentially spoil everything before the game fully releases, but if the devs are competent enough, they could actually use this to improve the game with the help of players feedback.

Submitting feedback is the reason for an Early Access game.

Go ask Snutt from Coffee Stain if he values the the community's feedback his team got during Satisfactory's time in Early Access. He streams on Twitch every Tuesday.
