I defined the game how it's listed in the steam store. A multiplayer horror game. I never said I am playing solely for the horror aspects of the game. Maybe my wording was a little aggressive, but I don't think that it really promotes a 'scary' environment. I'm more concerned about the impact it would have to game play above that though. It would change the power dynamic a lot and make locating the monster too easy.
The only matches I beat the killer in are when they are brand new or I'm playing with friends.
So to balance this, there should either be easier/faster communication methods among survivors, or nerfs applied to the puzzles or killer to make the lack of communication and therefore efficient teamwork not ruin the survivors' chances of victory.
