Since this is made with the doom engine could I run misc doom mods along with the game like Ketchup?

I've never played with Ketchup, but in theory -- yes, since all of the enemies technically still bleed, the game just doesn't have the sprites to show it; so stuff like gore mods should work fine. Not as well on Normal (since most of the weapons are projectiles), but Hard and Lunatic ought to provide interesting results.

I think any "Universal" GZDOOM mod could work in theory. Can confirm that Bolognese is compatible, though since even your basic pea shooter deals a heckton of damage as per Doom logic, everything will pop like a zit even if you set the required negative health for gibbing to -100
