Stuck in tutorial placing Scaffolding

What must I do in the tutorial step: Place Scaffolding over the top of a structure?
I place scaffolding everywhere but the step does not finish.

I tried it with a small Chest.
just place the scaffolding ON the chest. Did work for me. Hope it helps :)

Thx .. works, the Scaffolding has to "overlap" somthing; I tought you must place it on the top :)

I'm stuck with the place on top of transport tube and tried all kinds of combinations. Also tried building it on top of a chest and no luck

My bad, was placing ladders, it works now :)
