- at least forges can also output things to the bottom if you want to make a clean "underground" pipe system
- afaik there is no falling damage
- upgrade the emitter asap, so can walk further without dying
- if you have a research queue and need e.g. iron, when you shift-click iron in a forge it goes directly to the research and not in your inventory, so no worries it is NOT lost
now i will start a new world and stream the game, it is a lot of fun already.

While hovering you can build or shoot normally.
On the note of scaffolding, while holding it in your cursor you can replace blocks with it, even those below machines, chest, ETC without destroying them.
This can also be done with ladders.
You can place a bypass exit up to five blocks (four block gap) away from the entrance, but only in a straight line.
