As for boding well, the assumption the game seems to make is that sex based only on body shape is better than sex based on emotion. Most folks learn early irl; that is not so.
Nothing happens yet at the massage parlor so if you go that way you can get the scenes at the gym. Those don't involve the mc. That might count as things happening that are not her fault.
Other than that, I'm not sure what could be done otherwise to add much interest to the innocence path. Road to perdition it is.
I mean, there could be plenty done. Without even digging too deep and just based on the few stories already in the game:
1. the coffee shop storyline is based off of stolen money right now. There could be a similar or same version of it in innocence arc. Simply, instead of stealing, the starting event could be "breaking" something by accident, which would be "not her fault."
2. in the landlord arc, instead of asking for increasing amounts of money, the MC could maybe "innocently" tease the guy and gradually get into more a more trouble.
I bet something like this could be created for the future massage parlor route and whatever else. It's not that hard.
I think one of the problems with that, would be you kind of undermine the entire purpose of having a choice if you just basically end up with the same results either way.
It would be better if the choice of innocence lead to different scenes entirely. Such as more solo stuff (Like after the particular scenario at the massage parlour, as well as the updated shower scenes) and scenes of other characters (Such as her sister).
There is no "innocent" teasing. Some call it "flirting". It's done purposely to get a specific reaction (sexual arousal/interest). If you're going down that road with your landlord, you have two options: put out or get out.
As for the "breaking something/accident" with the coffee shop, it's hardly something to get raped over. I mean, yeah, if you break it too far down, no human with that body can possibly be that stupid and still functional, so you have to suspend disbelief to a degree. I mean, the dialog about being felt-up as a cultural trait is not quite the biggest stretch I've seen (that honor still belongs to "she was chewing gum in random patterns, maybe she was sending Morse code") but it definitely puts the MC in the category of "too stupid to be outside the physical reach of a caretaker".
That said, the "Innocence" path is "work the coffee shop forever for $50 a day and that's it". There should be more options, such as becoming a gym instructor (without the sex), and eventually get an apartment. However, since she's already got the itchy cootchie for her boyfriend, none of this should be a shock to the player. She wants the D, but she'll take a finger.
Agreed, it's not a Life Simulator, it's marketed in favor of the "or Money" path, but if you are going to name it "This or That", you should spend time on making "This" just as viable an option as "That", however grindy and ho-hum it is.
Would anyone choose it? Probably not, except to see how fleshed out it was.
It would be nice if there was a "middle ground" option, where she moves in with the BF and sister, but lets random people do her for money, and the BF doesn't mind the occasional 3-way, or she doesn't fuss about him shtupping her barely-legal sister because MC gives head at the massage parlor. But then what? Do you change it to "Innocence, That Grey Area, or Money"?
I mean if the MC wants to be friendly with the locals and let them boff her because she thinks it's some "cultural thing" like getting a Lei put around your neck when you go to Hawai'i, whatever.
As for milking the boss for money, apparently she's supposed to be oblivious to her own looks, and she's not quite made the realization that she can charge guys to whack themselves while they watch her strip, or sell them her bathwater.
Thanks to her hostility towards Sylvia, she probably won't get that bit of info.
Lin may help her set up an OnlyFans, where the real money is, but probably not before she gets reamed at the massage parlor.
You don't have to switch to Adam. You have the choice to stay with the MC while Adam gets his rocks off.
