Very Hard mode caught me by surprise. Last time I had a hard mode that actually impacted how I play a game was HZD ultra hard mode.

I do have to question this though, is very hard mode scaled for NG+? That gold warrior dude was a pain in the ass. If I was not flawlessly keeping my agility boost potions up he would wreck me by getting 2 turns in row, mean while if my mana was not at least at 80% I was in one shot range with magic shield up.

I feel my HP stat lacking just a tad thanks to that poison frog thing. I used probably a good 50 - 60 of those poison sac things. I feel like that might be part of why the golden knight dude was such a pain in the ass.

Is is possible for me to complete the game with low hp like this or is chapter 3 going to force me to actually focus on hp a little bit? Those blue leaf pieces are annoying to get.

You can gather those State Enhance materials to improve either HP or other stats. Additionally, you can have Black Joe run errands for you. When your Training gauge hits 5 points (which you can increase by battling or farming spawn items), make sure to use it. I recommend against using the Giant Frog poison pouch as a consumable; it's better suited for crafting and enhancing your weapons

I havent found anything to craft with it yet. I did find learn that hp is 100% needed though. The dragons and quite a few demons have those multi hit attacks that seem to scale in damage based around your defense... which i feel kinda makes defense useless.
