[SOLVED] Stuck on a cutscene - spoilers

Hello. I am having an issue where the game gets stuck on a cutscene. I think it's Chapter 5 When the rageboy playboy runs away from the prison and is fighting on a bridge. He just swings his sword, strikes down one soldier... and then everyone just stands there, reconsidering their life choices... forever... nothing happens and game seems unresponsive to every button I smash. But it's not crashing. Everyone is breathing (minus that one guy).

I have four save slots. One is right before this (rewritten after I encountered it for the first time). One is before the same mission but somewhat earlier. Third one is one mission before that (which is just the two dialogues that happen as you teleport into the cave). All three are corrupted. The fourth one is a mission or two before that. Haven't tried that one yet.

Anyone encountered anything similar? Is there a way to force skip the cutscene or to make them continue it?

Edits:
1) I described the bug better. It's not crash but they are just standing there.
2) All game files were verified and none were corrupted or missing.
3) The fourth file is about an hour earlier. I will try that one as well but that seems to be the last resort...
4) The only difference between the files 1-3 and 4 is that in 4 I didn't do some grinding and haven't defeated Nightmare yet.

Any updates? Im also having this issue, I was able to get through the first broken cutscene after relaunching the game once but im also stuck on the bridge cutscene and relaunching isnt working

Not really. I went through all of the saves that were there. Nothing. Verified integrity of files. Turned out all files are where they belong. Tried messing around the map for a bit to check if anything else is broken and it doesn't seem so. The only thing I haven't tried so far is uninstalling and reinstalling. Might try that next.

But overall I just sat down, took a deep breath, and went to do and play other things. Will try reinstall and update you on it.

Tried reinstalling and it does nothing as well. I am not sure what's causing the problem so I can't really troubleshoot it efficiently.

From what I have heard, switching game language or changing resolution can sometimes fix it when a cut scene gets stuck like that.

That actually works. I changed resolution, did the mission in it, and it suddenly works.

Thank you for solving this. I don't know if I want to come back to the game at this point but I am glad it at least has a solution/workaround.

That actually works. I changed resolution, did the mission in it, and it suddenly works.

Thank you for solving this. I don't know if I want to come back to the game at this point but I am glad it at least has a solution/workaround.

Its probably some error with how the engine deals with cut scenes.

I tried changing my weapon and that worked (originally I had Evolved Lightning Needle equipped)

Interesting. That didn't work for me before since I remember accidentally running into it with Nightmare sword and later switching back to a staff on other attempts...

Not in cutscenes only when casting

Its really weird I had it equipped since getting it without any problems and the 2 mentioned cutscense just didn't work with it, after the bridge I completely stopped using it so I have no idea if it bugs with the rest of the game

I'm currently doing NG+ with needle so I can update if any other cutscene's don't work
