Stat boosters
So, since the wiki is not very well developed, I come back here for my answers...

I'm in chapter 5 and feeling like I'm missing something when it comes to better stat boosters. I saw a comment suggesting that you could combine Kreytes items with a certain soup to make better stat boosters than just the Kreytes items by themselves, but I haven't seen this alleged soup. Is it in Vavelia or did it get axed for the remake and the Kreytes items got a slight buff?

I'm aware of Nerrel's HP boost item.

Also, one thing the wiki does say is to hold off taming a couple monsters like the "Big Ugly Bird" and a dark lion (I'm assuming that's Brillion) but I haven't found the former and the latter doesn't seem to drop anything. Also changed or am I off?

Thanks.

The best stat boosters comes from the boss monsters such as dragons. The soup recipe can be gotten outside Elysion Temple down a path. You need to awaken the soul sword to be able to get the materials.

And another thing, sharply monitoring when your combat level goes up is key to getting the most out of the stat boosts. In my second play through, my Mag originally like 500 or so. Went to 4k because I was careful when I leveled up.

And by hunting down dragons and whatnot.

Kreytes tea is an original game only thing. The best stat boosters drop from boss monsters directly except for one soup thing you can make using white rhino horns and heart antlers.

The only wiki right now is for the original witch spring not witch spring R. Monsters that are tame-able only drop their items once in this game (taming them on the first encounter will still make it drop) so you don't need to hold off taming them.

Bummer. Means I missed out on slightly higher stats at my final level increase since I was sitting on the Kreytes items. Oh, well. More grinding then.

Thanks all.

Not really, if you ever feel like it. You can go into the game files in your drive. And copy the stats onto a new file. This way, you can take advantage of the level ups. I wouldn’t recommend altering more than just stats or characters that actually joins your party. Anything more, and you can run into some issues.

I’m on my third play through, so I decided to copy over my stats. Put in Justice, and just having fun now.

You can also just adjust it to whatever you want, but eh. Personally, I don’t find it any fun to do that, unless it is stats I earned. In my case, I like to see numbers go up when I earned it.

Got a question, is stat boost effects permanant?

Yes. And using them pretty much trivializes the game.

But least the writing and pacing still makes the game an utter joy.
