Great game, Pissed about the missables

I'll start by saying that I've really been enjoying this game. I wanted to go in blind not knowing anything or reading any guides. I finally go to the point where I had to look up how to get past something only to find out that there are missable items/acheivments in this game.......... I'm a completionist and having put 25 hours into my save I'm pretty pissed that there's no NG+ or way to backtrack and obtain the item I missed. I'm considering restarting just to get the stupid book I didn't get.

Just a word of warning to anyone just starting out and wanting to 100%.... look at the guide for missable items and sequences - I only missed 1 thing but it's honestly a huge frigging thorn in my mind. How can they nail so many things right but completely leave out the option to backtrack or ng+.

This is where I am. Loved the game, but I missed a lot of stuff while moving the storyline forward . Some of which, it turned out, would be hugely important for finishing stuff like killing the Nightmare boss (dark shield) not to mention some achievements.

Really hoping for a NG+ at some point.

The game would instantly be much better if there was a proper NG+.
