I rarely beat games because I easily get bored, but not this game, I really enjoyed it, gameplay and story.
----------------------
about generic music, I don't mind / care too much, I am not an audiophile / love music, as long as the music is not hurt my ears / suitable with the game genre, I am okay with it.
The Korean voice over is really good you should give it a try if you haven't (Game is Korean).

Jankiest games have often been the best games.
And who gives a ♥♥♥♥ if the music is generic lmao, from what I've heard the music is good enough for me. This isn't falcom. We're not gonna get triple A composers coming in and creating god tier music.
It's rare to find a game like this with such impressive quality (even with the rough edges) and so much charm, and it's a passion project that's largely the work of one guy. I think it definitely deserves the rating. Plus it's a remake of the first game in a well-received series, so it has an established fanbase to begin with.
End of chapter 3 in this game on the otherhand. Gameplay is arguably better I guess
