Taming?

I am kind of confused about this mechanic. How do i know if its tamable or not? is the pig mom tamable? or Aslan when you fight him?

Pig Mom is not tameable in this game. You can tame them in the original though.

When you walk into an enemy at the top of the prompt it will say "mind control possible" and that's how you know to do it.

Can you tame the lion guardian the first time you fight it? I tried but it just died so I figure i couldn't.

If you see monsters with a name above their head before the fight, that's the indication that you can tame them.

I am still kind of worried that I might of missed Aslan im at chapter 2 and ive already gone through the temple once for chapter 1.

Basically if their name shows up in Blue on the field map, you can tame them. Taming basically just requires you to reduce their HP to 0 with the taming spell. All the spring guardians are gained as part of the story, as well as a few other story characters. There are quite a few hidden tames with more unusual requirements though, some of which are very powerful.

blue name = tamable . Or you can just google it. There are 20 pets available as of now
