The deer have 100% phys/mag resistance so you need to kill them either via aimhard blessing OR some weapon which can ignore part of resistances.

Do not want make another topic, but that nightmare mofo can beaten just when I level up more or is there some trick? I'm on the beginning of ch4 and it looks undoable with so much agi on him. 400def and 1300hp do not help...

In WitchSpring 1 that POS just straight up took your stats so there's no point in grinding. You'll never be faster, stronger, etc. To beat it, you'll just want to raise your HP until you can survive its attacks. You'll naturally have better healing and damage than it does. It gets stronger slightly every turn so you can't stall forever just burn it down and heal as necessary. Recommended pets are Lucca, Brillion, Zirconia Jr and Lightning Bell. If you don't have Zirconia Jr use White Fox.

I've beaten him both on sword and staff (I have 700 base stats on both str and mag). He's alot easier to deal with a staff because you can just abuse magic shield on every single hit and spam potions without having to endlessly grind HP (I beat him at 800 hp with lv2 white staff).
For sword its really all about just over upgrading your weapon and bursting him down before he can kill you.
Later chapters give you the gravity blessing which help stall a turn or two, and the self resurrect.
