How to forge soul sword ?

I have tarnished soul sword and blue fire stone.
what to do next ?

Fight the statue in the soul incinerator with the tarnished soul sword equipped, do NOT equip a shield (you will guard with the sword if you don't equip a shield),
use basic defense to guard any attack with the sword then you get the soul sword.

You don't need blue firestone to get the soul sword (I sell all the blue firestone and it still works)

reading this i said to myself "dang who could have thought that, must remove the shield.."
then i remember all witchspring mobile always have these vague requirement in the side quest which i always miss..
