Why Is Tabor Getting Mixed Reviews Recently?
I'm thinking about trying GoT but I'm seeing that its getting mixed reviews lately. Is it worth getting? was there a new update that broke the game or something else?

Thank you guys ahead of time for any responses.

its unfinished amateur garbage that's bad even in the context of other unfinished early access VR slop

It has alot of persistent bugs, the content releases are fairly slow but the core game is fun as hell that no other vr game offers currently. Give it a go

I just started playing a week ago, and it’s absolutely the most fun I’ve had playing games since the original Counter Strike mod dropped and we played at LAN parties. I haven’t run into a single game breaking bug yet. Heck, hardly any noticeable little ones.

Don't let other people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ talk you.

The game is amazing, was the only reason I got myself a quest 3 and I didn't regret it

Personally I love it. There are a few quirks to get used to, but the game play itself is fun and exciting and I think the maps are great. I can't aim or shoot for ♥♥♥♥ so I die most of the time and I still recommend it.

I'd advise against it until either later when more updates release or until you have more knowledge of the game before buying. This game suffers from poor quality (models like the NRS Pouch have a flat color as a texture, Revolver sounds like a gunshot mp3 file they ripped from a sound software website which is completely different in quality from other sounds), Poor AI, Poor communication (It's only Discord Messages and AMAs where all they say is "Next year" or "Sometime next Wipe"), minimal amount of content drops with months in between each update, poorly implemented door system after being gone for a year, clunky pump action shotgun after being gone for a year, turn in missions returning after a year, horrendous quality control (there are literal holes in the textures of Matka and Missile), promised content missing for another year (Mall, Leaning), excessive amounts of random store-bought assets that barely fit the artstyle, streamer and video game advertisements in a non-english city map, and DLCs.

Another issue is their DLCs and brand deals. They are partnered with 11 companies, have 4 (technically 6 considering IE and FF) game editions, have 4 DLCs plus a planned PvE mode (that took priority over fixing AI), and adding a micro-transaction that makes your name permanent past wipes on their first Early Access Alpha project. They are a multi-million dollar company stated on Twitter by themselves yet they don't have a majority of the content that was hinted at in their promo videos from 2 years ago? They still lack map variety or even a sense of game balance or consistent game economy considering the new shotgun is cheaper than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ double barrel. They are also working on 2 other games before this one could be remotely considered "finished."

Sorry for the word spew, I've just seen so many people say "This is leading the Market" or (an actual quote) "This game changed my life!" When the CEO acts as if he doesn't care for the project in certain messages. I have hope this game gets better, but I'm starting to lose hope.

Alot of what oven said is sorta true, alot exaggerated and some outright false. Take that as you will, OP. The game is rough around the edges for sure but for some players like myself it scratches a VR itch like no other game and has done for the last year and a half. Worst you can do is give it a try and refund if it's not for you

Seems like they have zero original ideas, just copy whatever tarkov is doing

The game is a lot of fun, but can also be extremely frustrating. At times there are bugs that you can get used to and then there are other instances where the game is unplayable due to the servers. Personally I really enjoy the game the majority of the time. I just wish the DEVS put more focus on continual improvement to grow the community instead of developing another game. Just my opinion.

Just to add onto what I said, I do find the game fun I really do, but it's a VERY cautious investment considering the state it's in.

if You are low on money, u cant live with bugs and You cant manage failure after failure.. then dont buy it.
If u can afford more than one game, You like fps in vr, dont mind alot of bugs, dont give up when getting kicked in the ass by groups, bugs, life all the time.. then buy it.

its much easier to play in group, if u play solo GoT u must be no life masochist.

The only sucess this game has is because the game mode, cuz no one has done a decent game extaction yet, but in short words i would say if pavlov devs decides to make an extraction game is gg for the rest, i feel the gameplay on pavlov, graphics and model way better than this, this game feels cheap in many ways, but it has strong point to balance it, i guess it needs way more time.

We'll see when the Vail extraction mode launches. A lot of time has been spent on systems like syncing & anti-cheating. Maybe there will be huge problems that weren't their before.
