If i want to play using oculus 2

Can i use my data cable to play? or does it HAVE to be airlink? My pc's wifi card isnt that strong cuz its a hardline only pc so its a built in wifi sooooo i have a feeling airlink will be laggy. Also, is there an fps and graphical difference between using oculus only purchase or connected to my pc?

i heard the cable version is bugged out or something tho and doesnt work? have you tried the cable?

I play on Occulus Quest 2 with a Tethered USB-C to USB3 cable and it works like a charm, the graphics look nice.

your wifi card in pc doesn't matter if your pc is connected to ethernet then you just need a router with 5ghz capability, better if you have one specifically for quest 2 airlink. and your graphics would mainly depend on your graphic card. i used airlink without internet at all, just the pc and quest connected to my router alone

You can airlink depends on your pc and router, BUT if you launch through steam VR theres a known issue with stutters, I recommend launching the game through steam and choose oculus VR option when it asks you and it removes stutter.

im having so much trouble trying to get my oculus app on my pc to even open and recognize anything, these vr headsets are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trash lol. billion dollar companies, cant even get an app to work.

Its important to remember that VR is very new, its only going to get better with time, in a way everyone playing are the pioneers of VR gaming :) we're all figuring this ♥♥♥♥ out together xD

Cable Link worked perfect for me in the alpha.

I read it's with Virtual Desktop there are issues.

im playn via cable with quest 2 works just fine.
the oculus app works realy good.

yes you have better graphics connected with a pc.

I played alpha and the quest 2 controlers lost tracking a lot in this game when you hold weapons.
its the reason i dont buy the game, it was unplayable in alpha cause of tracking probs.

I have terrible tracking issues. I'm using the quest 2 with a link cable to a pretty beefy gaming computer. The graphics are fine but when I look up, down, left right it shakes violently. I'm sure it's a problem on my end but haven't been able to resolve it yet. I play contractors pretty often with no issues so I'm unsure what is going on. Also been through the game settings and changed stuff up for graphics for an hour but nothing I did fixed it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, excited to see how far this game will go.

i got bad tracking in my left hand, ill move my hand around and my character moves either forward or backwards without any imput from either joystick (quest 1 & everything seems to be in order)

bro use an ethernet cable from ur pc to ur router, that way u get 0 latency
the only wifi u use will be the one you connect ur quest 2 to ur router, preferably over a 5g channel, but 2.4g also works
