Will There Be Wipes?

like ESFT, Marauders, Cycle and other looter shooter titles? If so, are they content update wipes or are they just economic regulation wipes?

I am personally not a fan of wipes. But maybe there's another way to do them. For example: Every 2 months or so, randomly as soon as you log into your homebase, your stash gets raided or something. You have to fight off a couple npc's in your home with a random weapon from your inventory. If you kill them all, you lose some ammo and maybe some HP. If you only kill one and then get shot down, the 'raiders' have more time to 'steal your stuff' and they can get away with more... Thus your inventory get's kind of wiped. Leaving you with your basic gear.

what is the situation with wipes? Will it be a part of the game or will it stop wiping when 1.0 releases?

also are there any plans for offline play with progression?

From what I understand, wipes are happening with large updates, (patches, bug fixes, etc..) so as long as it is in development they will continue to occur. If u purchase the DLC however, they are recoverable after the wipe, so u get back everything u paid real dollars for. Even tho everything else is lost including progression. I have heard rumor (not sure how accurate) that the wipe feature may be apart of the future game as well, don’t see how that would keep a following for long tho. I would also love to see a PvE mode as well with progression, I haven’t found an answer on that as of yet.
