Screen stuttering

So I got a Ryzen 7 5800x with an rtx 3060 12 gig (yes the cheap one) using steam VR on an oculus quest 2 (drivers up to date as well). Anyway the screen just stutters and seems to glitch around no matter where in the game I am, so thinking it was my "setup" I jumped over to h3vr and perfect then "into the radius" and the wasteland was never so beautiful anyway that's what I got.

i had this when in steam vr mode but not in oculus mode, hope that helps

I guess I was unaware of anything other than steam VR how do I use Oculus mode

on steam, right click GoT and click open using oculus vr or what ever it says, then with headset connected to airlink, go to steam and click play and it should open through oculus app

I just start the game through Airlink desktop -> steam -> Ghosts of Tabor -> Oculus VR and not through Steamvr or something.

Oh, and the difference is day and night regarding screen stuttering. I played in the wrong mode too for the first hour.

Thank you the good news is I've played a lot of VR so I didn't get too motion sick from it but buddy did I walk that line

What do you mean wrong mode?

I think he means in SteamVr Mode instead Of Oculus With his quest 2

For some reason I have no option to "open using oculus vr/mode or whatever only steam vr modes.

Still experiencing this today. Quest 3 running in SteamVR stutters despite fpsVR reporting plenty of GPU/CPU headroom.

Launching via Oculus Dash and the Oculus runtime solves the issue completely.

Poorly optimised game currently. Every other vr game runs smooth as butter even on my 2070S
