Weird slow down
As soon as I started the game it felt super slow and sluggish. Checked some gameplay videos out today and ya something isn't right. Changed the targetted frames setting to 60 and it was better, but still comparing to videos it wasn't snappy like theirs and still felt a bit heavy/like skating on the ground.

anyone else having this issue? any fixes yet? maybe a patch I guess eventually?

I just found this as well. I played the entire first area of the game with that slo-mo feel thinking it was just the game and thinking I needed to get used to the controls. Then I looked at a gameplay video and it was fast, so I set the target frame rate setting to 100 and the game was as fast as I'd expect it to be.

I think the game gets those numbers from your monitor's refresh rate. My game was at the "Default" setting, then I toggled through the different settings until one felt fast.

I wouldn't be surprised if this bug is the reason people are mad about the controls because it legit feels like slo-mo when it's not working correctly.

If you have a frame limit set via Nvidia Control Panel or your GPU driver, that appears to be affecting the game speed.

I have the opposite problem. My game just runs on super turbo speed for no reason.

i lowered the resolution which made the game look worse, but solved the slow down issues for me. I prefer the smooth gameplay and the lower resolution made me kinda nostalgic so it was pretty good for me.

Monitor refresh rate... that may be it. I'm playing on an ultra wide Dell monitor (in windowed mode) and if it's using that, then maybe it's considering refreshing the whole monitor to update the game's frames.... I'll have ot try on my other PC to see if I still get lag.
