Switch vs Steam version, which one to buy?
I'm getting this game for sure, but I can't find anything on the resolution and performance of the Switch version yet. I'd buy the Switch version if it's 1080p at 60 fps with a relatively stable performance, but if not I'll go for the Steam version. Does anyone know how the Switch version performs and at which resolution?

Switch version is 60fps in menus and 30fps in gameplay, so go with the Steam version.

That's a shame. Thanks for the information. Guess I'll go with the Steam version then.

I don't get why, I mean this game isn't demanding.

Use some common sense. The Switch is a console I can take with me. I cannot take my PC with me and I refuse to buy a Steam Deck because I already have a powerful gaming PC. If I think the performance of a Switch version is good enough, then I buy the Switch version.

I'd totally get a Deck if it gets smaller, lighter and would last longer.

And maybe with a price drop.

Expecting anything to run on the Switch at a stable 1080 and 60 is going to be an exercise in disappointment.

Unfortunately if you want good quality and portability, your only real choice is the Steam Deck. Maybe if Nintendo makes a Switch 2 at some point it won't be so horrifically under-powered.

The Switch has a decent amount of games that run in 1080p/60 fps. And honestly in terms of visuals there's really nothing this game does that would make it impossible for the Switch version to do just that with proper optimization.

I am actually pretty disappointed by the steam version. Every time I boot steam, it wants to update. Every few months, Monopoly wants to reconnect with Ubisoft... which is really annoying. The game boots up improperly and I can't move my mouse, instead I press CNTR, ALT, Delete to manually kill steam or Monopoly and try again. If you want something that starts easy each time, just get the Switch version.
