how to get a job?

it seems really silly but I’ve been playing for two hours now, gone into every shop I can, finally level 1, I’ve just received the quest “earn 10,000” but it won’t let me in the job office to get a job? Says I don’t have access to this building yet. Is there something I’m missing?

I had the same Issue. I spent 12 ingame days to realize my game was bugged. Did you find a letter while cleaning the rented flat? If not, your game is bugged and you won't be able to progress in the game.

Your first job you get lead to it by a quest its waiter/-ress its at russel's diners.

After that you can become butcher, more pay but also the minigame is more stupid. And then i lost interest in this game. It feels to tedious.
And then you have side jobs which you can take via handy app when you install it.

That makes so much sense LOL, I've been running around POOR for two hours thinking about when the game is going to progress, thank you! I did not receive a letter
