Are diseases broken?

I immediately got infected by that social bug, and by the time I was at the hospital I also had the "rarest" blue bug, which you are supposed to get after consuming energy items (at least the description says so) after healing them and going broke in the process, they came back...

I hope the sicknesses are just bugged and not intentionally over tuned. I'm not having fun curing a disease only to get it again seconds later. Literally fist guy I talked to after being cured and boom, sick again.

Same, I just stoped playing after less than an hour. That really kills the mood

I guess we wait for a patch or at least an option to turn off diseases

The more you get a certain virus, the more resistant you become to that virus. I got the social virus three times within the first 15 minutes of playing, but I haven't gotten it since then and I have been playing for over an hour now. If you look at the diseases panel of your profile it tells you how much resistance you have to a disease.

I just wish that mechanic was made clear then and that you'd get a side-quest that shows you the hospital on the map and maybe throw in a "first shot is free" since you can get sick again so fast that it adds up. It's just rough on the first day too, especially for new players going into it blind (like me).

I agree 100%. I ran out of most of my money by day 2 from buying so many vaccines lol. Hopefully they patch it and lower the disease likelihood.

Same!! I got sick 4 times in one day! The first few days I was so sick that I kept passing out and the doctor was never at the hospital!

The diseases are definitely making this WAY more stressful than what I was expecting.

Well, they just dropped a patch for the illnesses, so hopefully things are better!
