there seems to be complaints about the game and its performance with specific wheels. i personally have a fanatec dd1 podium set and have had zero issues with the game. i also bought the game at launch.
my first wrc game was 10. i bought it on sale for 20 dollars no really knowing that generations was coming out. i was reluctant to buy generations because i just felt it wasnt worth the money since i had ten. i enjoy wrcg a lot more than 10. i enjoy the visuals more as well as the hybrids. generations also has pretty much every tracks from previous tracks made from wrc besides i think two countries. in terms of content it is the definitive edition.
you should also know that wrc 10 was the 50th anniversary of wrc and it has a pretty meaty legend selection of cars. wrcg? mot so much.
i ill say go with generations as its the newer title that also has cross play. that means more people to race against. i also enjoy leauge play in wrcg.
lastly, whatever controller you use, be it controller, wheel etc. make sure there aren't any known issues you might be running in to. also you can always trial it for 2 hrs and see.
Concerning the controllers, I have an Xbox controller !
As you say, I'll try 2 hours and we'll see.
Thanks
I love people's hyperbolic reactions to games.
