All I can say is I love wrc generation.
I know, nothing game-breaking, but if I'll still have a bunch of new stages without some stupid bugs like no rain or strange auto-cluch and auto-handbrake... It's hard to decide.
And to be well understood - I perfectly understand that this is a sim-cade game, I do not expect super realism, I don't even like and need such rally games like RBR or Dirt Rally 1.0. And I think that many problems with such sim-cade games like WRC or MotoGP are exaggerated,
But these few described on the community sound really serious not only for uber-sim fan...
From what I read, before I decided between wrc10 and generations, I came to the conclusion, that it's worth to grab the ladder. If you would own wrc10, it might be not worth it, though as you say, the last you own is wrc8, I'd say, go with the latest.
idea? maybe get the one on sale now and the other one laters on a sale?
Are the newest controllers better supported in Generations even with this serious acceleration and clutch bugs?
I'm going to replace my DFGT with G29/T300 rather than T248 or G923, so I don't expect any problems with WRC10 either. But perhaps I don't know about something important?
So far, after what I've read about the errors in WRC Generations, I'm not convinced to buy it - on the other hand I admit that having literally all stages, even though actually "owned" in WRC7 and WRC8, would be nice thing. But having acceleration pedal properly working is more important.
Michael236 - Yes, WRC10 has dynamic weather too.
Both have bad sound compared to dirt and RBR. Both had a faulty clutch mechanic where you didn't need to engage the clutch to switch gears.
I like the menus of gens and the overall look and feel of it. When I started 10 I drove as it was and enjoyed it however I had to go into the settings for gens to make it right. When I did make it right it felt on par with dr2.
I haven't had any bugs or glitches in either in of them. I believe they are both solid games with amazing track lists.
I believe that 10 has more retro content. I want to say it was the wrc 50 yr anniversary and so there is a whole other game behind retor content in 10.
Lastly gens has all the tracks of the series besides 2 from wrc 7 if I remember correctly. I less you love the retro scene I would advise to go with gens.

There you go. One less thing to compare.
I recommend "WRC10" if you will play any online play. Because Generations has a lot of bugs with online play "CLUB" "LEAGUE".
