Developpers said it was closer to how real rally1 cars behave but this isn't true.
Also, manual cars don't even need a clutch in this game, and they apply 50% brake when moving forward in neutral without accelerating (also when shifting with an H-shifter by lifting off the throttle).
That and the fact we can't disable this weird autoclutch should give you a clue about how much they care about realism.
Simulated experience or Accurate mechanical simulation ?. The latter will never be achieved on current or generation PCs or in many , many future generations of them for any "sim" let alone consoles.
So you are left with the former. And you will never ever "please all of the people all of the time." - Everyone has differing expectations on what the experience should be including the devs. ( No I am not defending them ).
They (devs) have seemingly gone with a 'one size fits all' set of algorithms, (as they have done in previous versions) but this time primarily biased towards the hybrid model. Which has upset the apple cart . No doubt a little more than they had expected .
Biggest bugbear, for myself, is the clutch and its now permanently engaged status.
The easiest resolution from the Devs would be to add a neutral gear and let it be mapped . ( The code is there after all)
Then at least then I could rev my engine without trying to drive a gearbox
Can you please stop polluting these forums with this nonsense , after all this forum is for WRCG , not that stupid very very outdated game.
We live in a society and everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Very few persons have the knowledge to know what is really good !
I am one of these chosen individuals !
You are not a very intelligent person, that's for sure so I am here to inform you that the one and only true Rally Sim that exist is called Richard Burns Rally (Vanilla Version).
WRC and Dirt Rally are merely just Arcade/SimCade with lousy physics and mediocre damage model.
Nevertheless I've bought all rally titles since mid 1990's
Bye bye now !
So if you love it so much why are you here on the WRCG forum ? , just stick to playing your ancient game and stop polluting this forum , PLEASE :)
Let's make this a better forum !
Please leave NOW !
RBR is the benchmark for all Rally games and no game/sim has so far surpassed it!
Realize it!
Ps
Unlike you I have the ability to use both RBR and WRCG!
