Potential fix for USB Handbrake unwanted inputs/scrolling
Hey, my USB handbrake wouldn't work on WRC without scrolling the menu by itself. After f-ing around for 2 days I figured how to get it to work in this WRCG consistently so I though I would share. ( Fixed it the 1st time but couldn't replicate).

So here it goes;

1. Unplug USB Handbrake
2. Launch the game
3. Option - Control deletes all custom presets with an '*' (Restart from fresh)
4. Select wheel in dropdown menu - Create new preset and close, should now have your wheel under (Wheel's name +*)
5. Plug USB Handbrake and verify that the game detect it as 'Controller' from dropdown menu with inputs.
6.Select new Wheel preset (Wheel's name +*) and click to bind the handbrake - Assign key - Use handbrake. ( You don't bind it under 'controller' but under your wheel !)
7. Now to get rid of 'controller' which send unwanted inputs ;
7.1 Select controller - new preset - OK
7.2 Delete the preset you just created named 'Controller*'

Check the Dropdown menu, 'controller' and 'controller*' should be gone but your handbrake is now bound to your wheel set earlier at step 6.

Hope this help some you until KT get their *s in working order :)

Hello BourbonKid,

Thanks for you help.
But didn't work for me...

That's amazing, spent money for a game, and be blocked with the menu... :)
Once again, great performance by KT & Nacon. Always the same with games of that company...

Hope for a fix... Maybe one day.

Thanks, worked for me, hope it survives a reboot lol

Get Dirt Rally 2, it works. I have one arm, so I can't use a wheel. I use an X56 joystick and Logitech Pedals. Dirt Rally 2 set this up in min., works just as good as a wheel. This dog forget it. I made the mistake of believing someone who told me this would work in this dog. This setup works in F1 (all years), Project CARS, etc. This is a game, not a sim. Simulations allow different control setups, games don't. Live and learn.

This actually works, what a legend. May have to adjust the sensitivity in windows though because WRCG doesn't seem to have enough adjustability for my amazon brake

That actually really really works :D Was tinkerin since release, but this finaly saved the day.

I have followed the instructions to the letter and it really works.
The downside: After I closed the game and tried to restart, it crashed. I had to unplug all the peripherals to get the game running again and, if I wanted the handbrake to work again, I would have to repeat the above procedure every time I start the game.

@Spaguar
Had the same problem until I changed wheel option to DirectInput in the settings.
Trustmaster API would crash the game all the time if I didn't unplug before launching the game. Might solve your problem.

I make it work too.
The problem is that arduino is detected as a new controller
The tip is to have arduino hb connected and no new controller is detected.
I've succeed like this :

1/ In my Fanatec preset i clicked on handbrake's assign key button and then pluged my arduino handbrake.
2 / Then it will bug so disconnect your arduino
3 / Reconnect it and now no new controller will be detected so assign key and it should work

Some devs at Kylotonn should stop smoking whatever they've been smoking lately!

It's sad that I'm playing WRC games from almost beginning but KT not solve ARDUINO controllers problem - still. WRC 10 had same problem into start, now we've same again. Of course it's sad that only 1k people's problem want to be solve. Of course, it's sad that only controllers from manufacturers (and not all) are supported but DIY solutions not. And of course it's sad Codemasters can do it right from the beginning.
I was hope I can rallying from few day after premiere but not. Of course it's SAD too.
As the rest, only money U care?

Hehe - second time.
I've got Thrustmaster handbrake/sequential but didn't fits to my needs. Sold it.
So, I've found some custom handbrake tutorials and build it by myself. By arduino of course. It's great, nice fits my rig and my needs. Works great with Dirt 4, Dirt Really and 2.0, WRC 9 and 10 (after few patches). So, for me it's obvious newest rally sim should work with this type of gear, isn't it?
But now didn't work unfortunately. Now... CU, see you around track.
